My truck is 2006 Z71 Tahoe. Battery is Interstate MTP78

Took my 15 Tahoe to get an oil change today. Dealer said the battery is failing. The battery is very expensive, around $350. Anyone else had to replace their battery?

Quick update.... picked up Tahoe, DID NOT have them replace the battery. The battery itself is around $215.00. The install and battery are around $350.00. So, checking around, they are very close to the same price as AutoZone and Costco. I am going to go back today and pick up a new battery from the dealer, I'll install it.

Go to Pep Boys and buy the Bosch AGM for $166 (after online discount) and install. Better battery and great warranty.

I always recommend AGM.
If you want cheap, get "blemish" batteries from interstate.
