Back up camera

[06 Yukon XL]

I have a new to me 2010 Yukon XL SLT. Radio is the nav unit, but no back up camera is installed. When in reverse rear view is activated on nav unit but just black screen. Does anyone know if my truck would be pre-wired to liftgate with wires for camera? Also does anyone have any sources for a camera that would go into the plastic on the liftgate? How does one remove the bezel around the radio/nav unit? Thank you for your help.

You can use aftermarket or find a factory camera. Not sure about it being pre wired. Google searching would be very beneficial in your situation. That's how I figured out the info on this for my 2011 sierra. My Tahoe is a different year but this might work on yours? I just installed it and pretty happy.

After viewing the video what is obvious is that the nav unit has been flashed. I guess my next steps are to see if the unit has the brown connector or not and see if there is harness for the camera in the rear liftgate. The video was very helpful. Thank you. I will also have to find a camera source.

I had to have mine flashed for the camera to work. At least that is done. Check eBay. I did a quick search and found the whole assembly and also just the camera if you are wanting to go with factory.
