Hi,
So I installed a new VCIM and I get Bluetooth over the phone now, and I bought a USB C to 3.5mm aux cable to use my iPhone 16 Pro to listen to music through my 08 Tahoe non-Nav with Bose. It works but the audio is significantly quieter than through the stereo than the volume of the radio itself. That is, when I switch from the radio to the aux it’s quieter and then when I switch back it’s loud enough to make you jump. I have the volume on my phone about 80% up and have tried wearing the setting for the usb on the phone so it thinks it’s headphones or “another device” and it doesn’t change anything. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing here? Is anyone else using an aux cable and are you having the same results? Thanks for the help.

Play a YouTube clip while plugged into the Aux. There should be a volume control on the YT player you can crank all the way up.

See if that does it.

What happens when you set your phone to 100% volume? Is it significantly louder? Do you get any over-gain distortion at the 100% volume setting?
