I have a 2021 Tahoe and am trying to figure out how to push audio through the car stereo, not using a phone. Is this possible? I know there's no AUX port, but i've seen people recommend the 3.5mm/USB-C cable adapters - I tried this but the Tahoe doesn't see the device and there's no way to select an audio input, from what I can find. I've also tried a Bluetooth dongle transmitter, but I can't get the Tahoe to pair to anything that's not a phone - the only settings under bluetooth are "add phone" and then you have to select MyChevrolet on the phone to pair. Has anyone had any luck doing this another way? My goal is to get my kids' Yoto device hooked up to the car speakers, so they can control the music and audiobooks from the back seat, and we can all listen. I don't want my phone to be driving the audio. This is simple and straightforward in every other vehicle I've ever driven, but I can't seem to find any way to select audio on this Tahoe, other than from a smartphone...just looking for a way to play any basic audio output (walkman, CD player, Yoto, etc.)

Seems odd that a 2021 wouldn't have a single aux input.

Pg 90 in the manual lists this:

If equipped, press the latch and lift to open.
Depending on the options, there may be a
removable storage tray, auxiliary jack, and
USB port(s) inside.

If you have some there you may also have some on the backside of the console.

Probably found the aux input.
Ha - nope, I gave up. Tried 5 or 6 different bluetooth transmitters. The vehicle wouldn't see any of them. And from what I can tell, there's no way to switch to an aux input of any kind on the controls - the only thing it can read is a phone or USB stick with MP3s, which is not what I'm looking for. I ended up getting an FM transmitter that i can plug my device into and then tune the radio to that frequency, but it's super janky and needs to be adjusted whenever you drive into an area where that frequency has radio interference. So annoying that they've got the system so locked down...my Pilot has no issues playing any input you want.

There once was a device called iPod. That might be your ticket.
I'm specifically trying to plug in a Yoto device for my kids to use and control themselves in the car. It has bluetooth (which the car cannot seem to find) and a standard headphone jack (which would work as an AUX input in every other vehicle on the planet.) I've also tried every bluetooth transmitter I could find on amazon that's made for using in cars without an AUX input. These devices apparently work in every vehicle except the GMCs, which have their audio system locked down in a way that only allows phones and USB sticks. Not quite enough to make me sell the vehicle, but after all this failed effort I'm definitely close!

I'm familiar with an iPod but that's not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a way to play standard analog audio coming from a 3.5mm headphone jack. If anyone knows of a way to do this in the Tahoe (other than the janky FM transmitter I'm currently using) please LMK! ❤️
