Anzo projector headlights idea - opinions wanted

So I was out pushing carts at work today, and I had an idea for my headlights and turn signals.

First, I like the idea of converting the DRL socket to a second turn signal socket on each side (and add a second set of switchbacks).
The problem with that, is I like having DRLs.

So I though I could get some new projectors that had halos. The ones like like have very bad reviews, so I kept looking until I found this Anzo set, and saw how it looks on user HoLLyWoOd's Sierra:

They are the Anzo USA 111303 set on amazon.
Does anyone have any experience with these headlights?
My Denali knock-offs are also lightly smoked, so I'd get slightly more light out of a new set like this that was not smoked at all. I'm not sure what would look better with my big chrome grille, the black ones or the chromed ones?

If I got them, I'd probably wire the U-bars and LEDs up with some diodes so they came on with both the parking lights and DRLs.

Any other thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

"Over powered"?
I don't understand what you are talking about.
I already run LEDs in my DRLs and they are just fine.

Using a properly sized diode will let me run the DRL LEDs in the new headlights off of both the DRL circuit and the parking light circuit, without back feeding.

I mean the drl sends a higher voltage t the bulb. That's why 3157s burn out so quick but 4114s work forever. They are designed for the higher wattage.

The DRL bulb still runs on 12 volt like the rest of the electrical system, but you are right about the higher wattage. The DRL bulbs are rated for 29 watts.

It is too bad they didn't use a socket that would handle the extra heat.

Nice thing about using a well heatsinked LEDs for the DRL is the fact they are only a third the wattage, so they create much less heat.

I was telling my dad about my idea for changing the turn signals and headlights, and I had another thought on the DRLs.
If I use the appropriate number of diodes, along with a new turn signal socket for the stock DRL position, I could have the DRL circuit light up the parking light part of the switchbacks in one or both lights on each side.

So I could have the stock DRL spot light up white, but as soon as I turn on my turn signal for that side, both lights on that side will flash amber for the turn signal.

If I hooked up the DRL circuit to both lights (with diodes where needed to prevent back-feeding), I could have the parking light burn for all four bulbs when the DRLs are activated.

I just need to make up my mind if I want all four to be DRLs or just the stock locations...
