Not shocked at all. GM is only about profits now and is buying parts from low quality part suppliers. Gotta make sure you are always under warranty with these 2021's

Ha! Saw that same video yesterday. Not common but it does happen early on in a motors life. Same thing happened to my 08 Avalanche at about 10k miles. They didn't even question me and it was done by the next day.

Broken valve spring on my 2021 Tahoe Premier at 1680 miles, which led to a cylinder head replacement . GM had a bulletin about valve spring failure on early production Tahoes, etc, which mine is.
