Anybody have reverse automatic braking on their 25 Tahoe high country.?
Could you take a picture of the screen where you can turn it on or off.

My 26 suburban has a dedicated choice in vehicle settings collision systems to turn it on or off. The icon appears when I have the suburban in reverse.

I would have sworn I saw in on the 25 Tahoe but seems to be gone. With no option to turn it on

Yes it is and it scares the shit out of me EVERY TIME.

It slammed the brakes so hard my wife and I that we legit thought we hit something. Had no idea what happened

It’s a grand feature till your on a slant driveway… yes all the 25 have it, you can turn it off on the informant… but it’s kinda a cool thing if kids/dogs are around

Today I went into the settings and turned off auto stop in reverse.

15 min later I was reversing and it slammed on the brakes! I confirmed the feature was turned off and even the icon on the screen was not illuminated.

So it turns out even when you turn it off it will still brake for you

Does the screen display look like my 26 suburban?

I’ve got to be wrong but I’d swear I lost it after the last software update.

I think we are thinking it’s one feature but it’s two. The “auto braking” slows the car down gradually as it approaches an object.
The emergency braking slams on the brakes when it thinks you may potentially hit a kid or something. I found keeping my foot slightly on the brakes avoids this, and going really slow. And if something moves behind my car it will still slam

Same here. It has happened several times in my 25 Yukon. And yes, it does scare the bejesus out of you!

My wife yells when I back into our driveway b/c it's narrow and can only fit 2 cars wide if I back in snug against the house. Every now and then it kicks in and she screams!

I just got an over the air update which said something to the affect, improve emergency braking. I don’t know if this is part of the reverse braking. The day I bought the Tahoe I was backing out of the dealer lot and I thought I had hit something, somebody had walked behind me. 2025

This is my wife's 25 Tahoe RST, doesn't look the same as your pictured 26. I am not all that familiar with the UI so let me know if you need something more specific.
