antenna issue

i recently got ahold of a 144 inch stainless steel whip for my CB. but my problem comes in when i try to install it. i have never seen a base like what it has on it. its about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch dia with 3-4 threads at the top of it.

no one at all? well i guess CBs aren't all the rage anymore like they used to be

I don't know anything about them other than very few people use them.

I'm tempted to install one (along with other types of radios) for communication when everything goes to chit and cellphones don't work.

ive tried that kind. still didnt fit though. im going totry to find a local CB shop i have heard of. i have no clue if its still open though. if he is i might just trade him for a good fiberglass one
