no. you might have small scratches from dirt and stuff getting between the paint and molding and rubbing over time but you wont have scratches from just removing them. do it, youll be glad you did.

Just pulled mine off. Took the roof rack off, too. Might put the roof rack back on, though. Have to figure out how to make it look cleaner than just having the bolts up there.

Just did mine today

A very nice 50 degree day here in the North East so I decided to debadge and Detrim my Hoe.

Took all the fender flares, badges, mud flaps and wind deflectors off.

Now have to remove all the 3M adhesive strips and give it a good wash and polish.

Also took off the cross bars off the roof rack and replaced the 24's with the stock wheels for winter.

Car looks very ordinary now so cant wait for Spring to start the trucks transformation.

looks very nice! i have been struggling with doing this mod for the past year. im afraid the paint wont match or if i pull the mouldings off, im afraid that some of the paint will come with them.

Dont worry at all. The flares were on tight on mine and I really had to pull to get them off their adhesive strips. I too thought the paint would come off with it but it's all good. I have to agree with everyone that although it looks weird at first, it def looks better and cleaner.
It was quite dirty inder the flares but once washed you couldnt event tell they were there for so long. I just have to get a few pieces of adhesive off

+1! My tahoe had 110,000 miles on it when I took them off, and there was no problem, just wash and wax.
