What do you like in air hoses and reels?
Tired of wrestling with my vintage rubber hose so I'm looking for something lighter, more compliant and a means to store it on something better than a hook on the wall.

Possibly. I've never looked into it. I guess it'll pay for itself (inside track) if you save on a few items. It's a yearly membership.

I have two of the older 50' Harbor Freight reels mounted on the ceiling in my garage. I did replace the hose on both with that light green Flexzilla hose about 10 years ago. That Flexzilla hose is so much easier to handle. It doesn't kink and stays flexible even in the winter

Buy a commercial C O X reel. A lifetime investment in a service station grade reel. Mine is 15 years old. Use it every week and works flawlessly……

Gotta stay away from the poly hose. Sux when it's cold out. Stay with the rubber hose.

If I didn't currently have a bunch of air tools, nice compressor, and hose reels I would just go with cordless/rechargeable tools. I've been using air for 20+ years in my garage and I recently over the past year got a cordless 3/8" ratchet and 1/2" impact and love them over the air equivalents. No hoses and tool oil to have to deal with. Much simpler.

My favorite tool now is a Milwaukee M12 Compact 1/2" Impact Gun that I got a month ago. I've used it on three vehicles for parts removal and tire rotations, probably daily for a couple weeks. Great tool, fits in tight spaces and rated at 250 ft# and weighs no more than a cordless drill.

Are you saying that there are cordless compressors?

Well, yes, I have seen cordless portable compressors. But what I meant was I don’t use air as much anymore. Just the occasional tire or blowing dust off something.

That would be my use. The heavy rubber hose is tough to coil up and hang on the wall. Maybe I should give a hybrid hose a try first.
I can generally reach most things in the garage with the 20' Flexilla poly recoil hose but it only gets one car length into the driveway.

I bought an enclosed air hose and reel unit from Walmart a number of years ago for about $100, and it is still going strong.
