Air conditioner only works part-time

Sometimes the a/c doesn't work on my '03 Yukon. If I kill the engine and restart it, that corrects the problem about 75% of the time. Any ideas?

does it not turn on at all? turns on but blows hot? do you have rear air? if so, does it run fine?

It turns on, the compressor just never kicks in.

Hmmm... I got nothin... sorry...

Run it by a mechanics shop. Most of them will do a free a/c check out to try and get you to get your truck serviced there. They will at least let you know whats wrong and then go from there...

Had the same problem in my 03 Yukon. I had everything charged and tested but nothing seemed to work. After hours of troubleshooting I found a relay(under the hood) in the fuse box that was bad or had a bad connection. It worked when someone held it in a certain position and quit when they let go.Had it replaced with a new one and I haven't had a problem since.
