I had the dreaded leaks from the plumbing to the back in my A/C. So i cut them off and used swage locks as suggested to block the pipes to the rear. Now i am hoping to fill the system and check. Wanted to go with RedTek from Canadian Tire (local store).

Has anyone else used this product and any gotchas/reviews.

I've never heard of that particular brand but after checking out the link you posted turns out Thermofluid Technologies is about 40 minutes from here. I have heard of the Freeze 12 and DuraCool stuff though, and it's similar if not the same.

If you dig a little more into it you'll find out it's a mixture of propane, butane and who knows what else. I wouldn't run it myself but have read the 'hydrocarbon based' stuff does work well as far as cooling
