Aftermarket running boards/nerf steps???

Looking for some aftermarket running boards. Preferably the offroad looking style. Its a 13’ Z71 so everything I have seen online says excluding Z71. Im assuming because of all the plastic that goes around the oem running boards…Anyone have any recommendations?

You should be able to fit any running board, the plastic comes off easily.

I think it’s because the z71 uses the rounded nerf style steps with only 3 mount brackets while the non z71 boards have 4 mount brackets something like thst.. maybe just different brackets … regardless the non z71 mount can be found online ebay or whatever and the mount bracket holes under the truck should be there with either a plug in them or just open threaded holes

Sounds like you may be able to modify the cladding to expose the non-Z71 mounting points, might be worth it to remove it and verify that they're there.

Sounds like you may be able to modify the cladding to expose the non-Z71 mounting points, might be worth it to remove it and verify that they're there.

I have installed NON-z71 steps on my z71, so it's no problem with the cladding removed.
...which you will want to do, because the cladding is made to fit the z71 steps.
