After a rough Suburban ownership, got a loaded Yukon XL AT4 yesterday

I purchased a 2019 Suburban a little over a year ago and had nothing but massive problems with it. Electrical, fuel pump, calipers, camera’s going out, even someone smashing the front bumper and driving off.

After transmission began slipping I had enough. Broke even on the trade and got a new Yukon XL AT4 fully loaded. I really hope we have better luck with this one. Wife’s primary vehicle and I constantly worried about her in that Suburban.

Nice upgrade!!! Love the black color. You must have adaptive air ride suspension, in that picture it has the easy exit/entry activated.

We did close to the same for my wife, traded in her 19 Yukon slt for a fully loaded Tahoe Z71. She wanted a AT4 but couldn't pass the deal on the Z71

"Underneath" Motor, transmission is probably still the same. I'm guessing they've updated the wiring harness, transmission and infotainment which is what most people had problems with.

Gen 4 had a 5-6 pg TSB on precisely that regarding pinched wires, ground outs on sharp chassis seams and harness connection pins not being fully seated.

Of course GM could only discover this once they discreetly got 10 of their best combing over a Burb like he just traded in.

The trade in on the problem Burb is a move that was the lesser of evils to resolve the electrical problems.

Outside of maybe the lugnuts, I don’t think there’s a single shared part number between a ‘19 and a ‘21+. It’s completely different.

Exactly!! Jeeze...two totally different generations and trucks. 2015-2020. and 2021-present...and totally different issues known to each generation.
