I'm about to pick up an intake now but it seems like the most folks g with AEM, well I see the K&N claims 11HP at like 5300 rpm and the AEM claims like 12 at 4700. Well we all know we'll hardly ever see those numbers, so what reason most of you chose the AEM over the K&N? Sound / Quality? Oh is $285 shipped a good price for the AEM brute force

i bet it would still work. i think most these CAIs works on the 4.8 and the 5.3 so it might work on the 6.0. i dont know anyone personally who has used Spectre though.

All 4.8 and 5.3 systems will work on the 6.0, I love my AEM easier to maintain and made good power on my 02. Oh and K&N bought out AEM because they couldn't compete with their filter media...if you can't beat em, buy em.

So what ur sayin is AEM is the same as a K&N, just the Luxury brand, Like Toyota and Lexus, Honda Acura, Nissan Infiniti. You get the picture :). Oh well I'll buy the AEM one

Don't go with anything that just sits under the hood. A guy I knows has some old intakes not made anymore. he picked up 15hp from it. No tuning. He works with Patrick G and they own a shop together in TX.. They know there shit. I can get you info to order one if you want.

99-08 Chevy/GMC 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 Truck/Tahoe/Suburban CAI and filter ($225)
(Black/Clear/Carbon Fiber/Chrome)

I did back to back dyno test on the my Tahoe with the stock air box and the 5.3L CAI and picked up 15rwhp/14tq.

Do it your self...

www.airflo.com

$130 total
4in diameter Pipe
If you do it this way the only draw back is you have to cut or remove your fan shroud if you have a mechanical fan... but im extremely happy with mine.

I got a Spectre of eBay for $75 shipped and it works excellent, I notice the performance gain and the intake "growl" sounds so nice over 3k RPM. Save your cash and get the Spectre :IMO
