I spent some time searching and can't find the answer. Can you add the Nav stereo from an 07 Bose vehicle with the RSE to an 08 Denali with Bose but no RSE. In other words, I don't care about the RSE, but I want the unit to work.

I think it'll work fine, just remember to get the GPS antenna.

This will not work. The modules in the head unit will continue to search
for the RSE, and of course not find it. Therefore they will not "go to sleep"
the result is eventually the battery gets run down.
You need a head unit that matches your vehicle. ie if no RSE get one that
is no RSE. if you have Bose, then ypou need a unit that is designed to that.

RSE is one feature that will drain the bat. I have done this. On a fully charged bat took 3 weeks as I was driving the SUV almost daily.
