The LT models come without bodyside moldings, and I wanted to add some preventive protection against door dings. GM sells the LTZ moldings as an accessory, but not pre-painted in my color (Tungsten). So I did a little research and found these "Dawn" brand moldings that are usually sold through dealers and accessory installers:
o They are available custom-made for many makes and models. They come pre-painted to match your factory color.
o They come in four varieties: wide and narrow, each available with or without a chrome insert. See www.dawn-ent.com for more details. I selected the wide moldings with the chrome insert.
o www.sportwing.com was my vendor, who had efficient service and free shipping. They arrived in less than a week after placing the order, well packaged and secure.
o The quality is very good! And the color match looks perfect.
o They were easy to install with 3M adhesive pre-applied, so basically peel & (carefully!) stick. I lined up some blue masking tape first to ensure I applied them perfectly straight.
I am very pleased with them. Highly recommended!
Cheers,
Dave.
