Installed a new climate control for the heat and ac in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe. It worked well after installation but then it would turn off and then come back on. Didn't matter what fan setting it was set to. I applied pressure when turning the dial and then it would come back on but only for a short amount of time. It finally quit working altogether. I disconnected the negative battery cable for 30 minutes; reconnected in hopes the computer would reset. That did not correct the problem. The ac was recharged within the last 30 days
I was having the same issue previously and thought it was the control panel, which is why I installed a new one, thinking that would resolve the problem. I am still at square one and frustrated! Anyone out there have any trouble shooting suggestions? Please and thank you!

When it quits working, does the fan completely stop, and the illumination goes black? I would double check the plastic connector behind the climate control module. Look for corrosion, loose pins, chafed wires.

I had intermittent climate control, until it died. It ended up being water leaking down through the defrost grills at the windshield and pooling in the heater duct, which fried the connector at my climate control. The GM dealer sells a harness that you just cut off the old wires and connector, and butt splice the new one in.
