As far as I know it was basically just a part number change.
I thought that too.

When I changed my plugs last year, it had the 41-110 in it, so that's what I got to replace them.

I was just looking at stuff on Advanced Auto website and when looking at the 41-110 it says it doesn't fit my vehicle, but says the 41-162 does, so just curious.

From what I could find out is the original number was 41-985 superseded by 41-110 which were superseded by 41-162. Any of them should be fine.

I think the new numbers are assigned when there's a design change and or vendor change. Running 41-985s in mine, have a spare set of 41-110s.

I know from looking at pictures in online discussions that the 41-162 is noticeably shorter than the 41-110 from seat to tip of electrode, I heard it’s about 3/8”.upload_2020-6-8_6-33-29.png

Online specification info shows these measurable differences....

41-110 vs 41-162

Insulator height 25mm vs 24.7mm
Pre-gap size 1.025mm vs 1mm

Everything else seems to be the same

The guys that had them side by side said the length from the seat where they sit against the head to the tip of the electrode was 3/8” difference but I don’t think that matters.

I think it was closer to 1/8”.

Does anyone have an idea when the part number was changed? I just pulled a set of 41-110 plugs out of thecopcar, but don’t know the age of them.
