Hey guys I had my A/C compressor, accumulator and ory tube replaced last year and it was good but it seems like it's a little warmer this year in the truck. I have back A/C and it is nice and cold but the front system is running a bit warmer and I need to start looking at Damper doors. I know there are at least 2 in question here, the recirc door and heat door. My question is are there any other doors ( no problems with where the air comes out, Vents defrost and what not) and are all the doors operated by electric or vac? It's a 1998 4 door 2wd LT tahoe. I know the recirc door is electric because I was checking it with out the truck running the other day and it seemed to work ok even though it was slow moving. I still have to verify that it is closing of the out side air all the way. Also if you have any diagrams as too where all the doors and actuators are that would be great. thanks.

I drove around for 3 years with no a/c up front and a little bit of cold coming out of the back. I tried to charge mine like six times with the cans you buy at the parts store and it would always work for a day or two. Then finally this year my buddy got a real a/c machine and i had him do the whole nine yards with the real machine and it still works ice cold and i had that done 3 months ago.:emotions122: So basically just have it recharged the right way and you should be good.

unknown at this time.
3 electrically controlled doors. Recir, mode or airflow direction and temperature mixing door. Recirc motor near blower somewhere, temp motor blocked in by dash support bar just left of power outlets and mode motor just above accelerator.

I'm having the exact same problem! This has been going on for a year now. I just ha a guy go through and recharge the whole system and it's a little better up front but not nearly close enough. I'd like to think it's not the the charge but rather sucking hot air through.

Can someone supply some picture or drawing to indicate where the actuators and doors can be accessed?
