I saw someone else post what they replaced in their vehicle to fix the steering wheel moving freely a few inches and am having the same problem. Is this all I need?

I assume I need both idler arms? How many of each and is this it? About how long do you estimate this project would take for someone with little experience?

Thanks for all and any help.

you appear to have correct numbers but I generally recommend you be absolutely sure condition of individual part before just throwing money at it. The idler arm and bracket assembly(1 and 2) are available from moog and have some improvements to them so get those versions instead. I would used Energy Suspension poly bushings to replace any rubber joints.

Both of these?

Also, I preferred to get everything from Amazon and it looks like they don't have Energy Suspension bushings for this model. The one's I linked are Poly though. If you are 100% set on those I'll order some elsewhere it is just easier and cheaper to get everything from Amazon.

Also, I figured why not replace everything. Vehicle has over 112,000 miles on it and it doesn't look like the front suspension or steering has been worked on anytime recently.

those part numbers are correct. Both of those are used on the truck together but but one can wear while the other is good so again be sure you need it before wasting money on it.

The energy suspension kit are at amazon. For red parts and an "R" to lit number. For black add an "G"

If you have 2wd: 3.18124

if you have 4wd: 3.18125

theses kit include: Front control arm bushings, front sway bar bushings, rear spring and shackle bushings, body mounts, tie rod end boots. the 2wd kit also include tranny mount.

It is really up to you to decide on weather to replace everything. how much these parts have moved to each other is more important the miles on the truck.

Personally I bought one part from pepboys in the last 10 years and it was an alt for my old celica. It worked but I refuse to shop there. Friend purchased an oil change card for 3 free oil changes and the shop that was selling them refused to honor them.

Get an amazon prime account. No tax + free shipping on most everything + almost every car part you can imagine.

After replacing every steering related component including a new AGR steering box. I still have play.
After contacting AGR, they had said it could need to be adjusted. I'm going to give that a try and see what comes of it. Hopefully it will resolve this ongoing issue.

Amazon has good prices. You should also check out Rockauto, they beat out summit pricewise.

Absolutely nothing. I replaced everything and it was like I didnt do anything.
I will be taking a day off from work to do some adjusting of the box. Hopefully that will clear it up.

Power steering pump maybe? That's the only thing I haven't replaced but the power steering goes to the gearbox so if there's air in it I would assume it could have a bit of play. I still have some and My front end vibrates over bumps like something is loose or worn but I have no idea.

I havent replaced my steering pump either.
The play I have isnt that bad but its definately noticeable. I can turn my wheel roughly two inches in both directions before the wheels move.

You should get under it while someone turns the wheel to see if you can find what is loose.
I know I need to replace my sway bar endlinks, they're junk hah.

Sway bar end links...get your ass to AA they have energy suspension ones for les then 20 bucks you can do it with your truck on the ground. I am just saying...sway bar links won't do anything about the play. Niether will the power steering pump.

Look into an EVO delete kit or 96 line?
