6.2 Valve Spring Part#? Same as 6.0?

Pretty sure I have a broken valve spring in my 2008 6.2 in my Esky. Will find out this weekend when I remove the passenger valve cover.

This sounds kinda of crazy but GM Parts Direct does not list a valve spring for this year of 6.2. Other sites show all kinds of 6.0 and 6.2 motors having the same valve springs. However, they do not list the Esky as being compatible.

So, what GM valve spring part do I get?

I looked up at RA and they show intake and exhaust valve springs for that engine.

That right there lets me know that when you said you checked at other sites, you likely did not check at Rock Auto.

I did look at RA, and they showed a few off brand names for the valve springs. I looked at interchange info for some off the springs, and they fit way to many different models of GM vehicles. I did not trust that info. Found out that the valve springs are fine.

Post the last 8 digits of your VIN and hopefully @915_Tahoe will chime in with some GM part numbers for you.

I am in the middle of a cam swap and putting in new Brian Tooley Racing springs to accommodate the higher lift on the new cam. You're welcome to have some of my old springs if you want them. I'll only need to hang on to 2 of them for spares for my '07. They have about 117K on them out of my 2012 Denali.

If you take that GM number and go to RA and type that part number in, you get a number for the Melling springs that is a direct cross of the GM number:

Thanks guys. Looks like I found the problem, and it wasn't the valve spring.

What was the original problem anyway? I am assuming it was a misfire?
