I have seen some Tahoes that have 2Hi, Auto, and 4Hi on the drivetrain selector knob and others that have 2Hi, Auto, 4Hi, and 4Lo on the drivetrain selector knob. Can someone explain which Tahoe models have one and which have the other?

Well, if you are indeed referring the nnbs...I believe somewhere around 08 was the last of all having the selections. GM went to the auto with 4 hi option.

I specifically ordered a Z71 to have a fully selectable transfer case.

SW CT,
I believe that the 2 speed transfer case comes standard in the gmt900 suv's and the 3 speed is optional. Pretty smart move as most buyers or these suv's will never be in a situation to use 4lo.
