4wd posi lock?

i believe i have to change the actuator on the fron differential on my 95 yukon since the 4wd wont engage. but ive been reading up on this "posi lock" system that replaces the actuator and is more reliable since its a cable and not "air or pressure" i believe done by the actuator.
Does anyone have any info on this? id appreciate any input.

Replacing the actuator is a pretty easy task. If you are going from a thermal actuator to a solenoid/motor type, there is some wiring to deal with.

it can also be used to give you "2lo" for whatever you needed it for. pretty nifty but ill stick with something the truck was meant to have

I'm actually a little concerned about this myself. The whole reason I bought my truck was for the winters here in Chicago. How frequently should I anticipate to have problems with the thermo link coupling thingy??

I have never had a 4x4 issue. Had my hoe going on 10 years now and 169K on the truck
