I just did a transmission swap in I'm 08 Yukon hybrid. Got a transmission out of an 09 Tahoe hybrid and it has a 30 day warranty. Got it all buttoned up in my truck cleared out any codes in the TCM, loaded Techline Connect and programmed the module an....nothing. lol checked for codes and nothing... No codes... It just won't start. The big question is... I'm running out of time for the warranty if the transmission is bad. Does anyone know of any ways or tests to run in Tech2win that I can use to verify if the transmission is good or bad? Any help would really be appreciated even if I have to rip it out again I have to find out if I need to take it back. Thanks!

did the programing work? if so, sounds like you're able to connect with to the tcm.

what kinda scanner to do have? I'm guessing a good one because you're able to flash the tcm.

only thing off the top of my head, having not had my tranny out yet is are the orange wires tight and correct. not damaged, that can cause it to fail it's key on high voltage isolation safely check. also there's a fault code in there somewhere for accident. if set it won't close the contracts. again a safety thing.

also any covers off it won't start. like the plastic cover over the under hood inverter. the orange disconnect on the battery itself has a 2 step click when you install it. it's kinda common to miss the 2nd click when putting it back in.

if you can connect to the tcm in the scanner, look under special functions or whatever it's called on yours and try to manually engage start? see if it will let it do anything at all. so many little details with these trucks.

So I use tech2win with the vxdiag interface and it's glitchy sometimes I can access every option, sometimes it tells me it's not the right truck. I use a separate laptop with Techline Connect for programming. Tech2win can communicate with the TCM, programming through Techline Connect kept crashing. It would say it's programming but stop and give me an error.

Got a 3rd laptop to try. Went to the truck hooked it up. Thought what the hell and turned the key and it started. Started right up. Shut it off... Started again... Drove it. It's started every time and I HAVE NO CLUE what happened.

Now I'm trying to iron out small errors with my fingers crossed but it's running and I have no idea how.

that is kinda weird but tech line has all kinds of issues running even on expensive stuff. failing 3 times is probably pretty normal from what I've read about it.

glad it's running thou.
