2500 Shock Swap?

I feel like I remember hearing something about using GMT800 3/4 ton shocks as a rear shock upgrade, but am having a hard time finding any info on it. My Yukon is long overdue for some shocks, and I'd like to find something that will eliminate the shock spacer that I am using now along with the 3" coil spacer, can anyone point me in the right direction?
