21 6.2 Injectors - Question before purchase

Hello,

I am looking to purchase a 2021 with around 34k miles, that has already had 2 injectors replaced - does this correlate to eventually needing all of the injectors replaced? Is this vehicle at increased risk for the lifter failure that some of the 6.2s experience? Thanks

Good question. I'd first look at the TSBs for that year and see if there is any mention of lifter issues, and what the fix was, if any.

I've not head of losing 2 injectors in only 34,000 miles, but other members of this Forum much more knowledgeable than me in this area will chime in.

I would try and find out why 2 of the injectors were replaced. My 2021 Suburban with a 6.2 with 93,000 miles, are still on the original injectors. I am not sure what the concern about lifters is. There were some failures early on but I haven't heard of them in a while.
