100% agree that the price that GM/Dealer charges on those rims are overpriced. Def way better options with other 3rd party vendors.

Whenever my order gets picked up (supposedly January now) I have a couple 22s picked out and going to try to swap out the stock 22s for some 20s to use for the winter months of Michigan.
I agree the GM wheels are pricey, but the factory (GM) wheels are much higher quality. If you live in the rust belt of America it’s obvious to see. Aftermarket wheels corrode and shed the clear coat, whereas the factory wheels stand up much better to corrosion. I had 22” ‘Snowflake’ wheels purchased with my 2015 Tahoe and kept them two vehicles up to my 2019 Yukon Denali. 5 years and no corrosion. I live in North Dakota and lots of salt on the roads in winter. Regular car washes and wipe-down of the chrome wheels and they still looked perfect when I traded in my last Denali. The wheels were 5 years old, and perfect.

Be careful of the Brembro brake package. If you get a flat on the front your spare will not fit over it. You must change the rear tire 1st then swap it out with the front. Found out the hard way. The min size is 20 inch. I tried to put a 20inch spare underneath. Won't fit.
This is great info. I think most wouldn’t know this ahead of time, nor have a dealer that would explain the situation.

That’s crazy, kind of of a PITA in my opinion

Brembo setup looks nice. I just ordered that on mine. How much did the ceramic coating cost and what do you think was the greatest benefit?

Well, first time for me so hard to say yet what the benefit was. My hope is it will help fight minor scratches from kids, parking lots etc. would be nice if it helps keep it cleaner.

I did the clear 3m stuff on the nose, door handle cups and door sills and then the ceramic coating. Whole package was about $1600.

Hello
please be aware that your spare tire will not fit over the brembo brakes. If you get a flat you must 1st change out the back tire then take it to replace the front flat . This is Gm's response and service bulletin. I found out the hard way.No one at the dealership bothered to inform me either.

Yes, that sucks that happened to you. For me, the dealer told me this, there was a flyer in the vehicle and we discussed it back on page 1 here as well.

Thanks. Good to know. Definitely not what you want to be doing in the rain on the side of a road at night. I get it.

It’s not that our first order timed out its that GM said ok were not building anymore 21’s after this date and we will start building 22’s on this date. So with the packages we wanted our 21 order never got picked up.

Our dealership gets a pretty good allotment and I became their first 2022 Yukon Denali order after our 21 was cancelled by gm. So our 22 order went in the day it opened and was built in October, shipped first week of November. Took two weeks for dealership to do the blackout package I wanted, tint it and add the cat back exhaust etc. so picked it up the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I had the 4 year done last year and PPF on the entire front, hood, mirrors, and a-pillars. It will indeed keep it cleaner and much easier to wash. I recommend staying away from car washes; especially one with brushes!

Sharp looking Tahoe!

Where’d you get it done for that price?

Just got a price here in New Jersey for 2395 to wrap the nose and 1795 for ceramic coating all xpel products.

Similar to Indy prices. I could maybe find it cheaper but without knowing the business not sure if I'd want to.
