GM service centers doing a flush do they use transmission cleaners and additive with the flush.
And air hose to push fluid thru the transmission. And does the filter get changed .

I'm sure they have dryers on the airline so no moisture can get in there air lines. And I'm sure any additives they put in there they get all flushed back out. Correct ? Thanks for any details on the topic..

I can’t speak to what the dealers do for a flush, but the independent shop that did my 4L60 disconnected the cooler lines and flushed the cooler separately from the transmission so the no debris or old fluid was left in the system.

I also asked them to drop the pan and clean it and the collection magnet out as well as install a new filter.

The first fluid flush only was done at 85k miles with the second one, along with the pan drop and filter change, was done at 115k.

A flush alone does not change your filter or clean your pan, and not all flushes include the trans cooler and lines. You’ll have to talk to the dealer about the specifics of how they plan to do the work.

Doing a flush and a pan drop is the only way to get back to as close to factory as possible.
