Anyone have any experience with the TSP 5.3L L83 V2 Stage 1 Camshaft. Looking at maybe upgrading the engine to one. just to get some more juice but not sacrifice daily driving and not breaking the bank.

Great way to eliminate the problematic AFM bullshit, may as well have some fun!
I have a BTR stage I in my 6.2 and am quite happy with it.

It does not retain the factory AFM/DOD functionality that deactivates cylinders, so a DOD/AFM delete kit will be needed.

IM also looking to add some extra juice to motor as well this particular cam will add an additional 58hp and 24ft/lbs of torque at the crank
Going on a cam timing tangent here.. I'm staying away from the aftermarket cams for now. I went the opposite direction and used a smaller duration cam for this engine.

Yesterday I made three changes, power enrichment pedal enable, PE torque request and adjusted the cam timing. Check out the pictures of the cam timing table. It revs out now.. where as before the engine would run out of steam in the higher RPMs.

Changed 12419 PE pedal enable
Changed 12418 PE torque
Changed 33102 and 33103 reduced by 50%

I have put that Camshaft package into my 2016 Chevy Tahoe. It's not cheap once they start having to take the heads off and resurfacing them. But I would go with that set up with the DOD/AFM delete. Drivability is great for city/highway driving and towing.
