For some reason I have lost the raise portion of the seat adjustment on my Tahoe. The seat always goes all the way down and back when I turn the truck off, then when I start it up the truck the seat moves forwards but therei is no up motion. The switch does not work every time when I try to manually move it up to the desired height. If I fiddle around with it enough I can get it to work but usually it does not want to move up. Has anybody ever encountered this problem?

When you fiddle, and the seat moves, does it move at the same speed as before, or does it seem to struggle? I ask, because debris can got onto the worm gears of the seat movement mechanism and block the seat movements from functioning properly and cleanly. In my case, the hair from my white German Shepherds gets onto the worm gears, and periodically, I need to unbolt the seat and clean the worm gears.
