2015 Tahoe..Blackened out sections of dashboard display

Hello, 2015 Tahoe, I recently noticed 2 corners of the display dashboard, top left and lower right corners, have blackened out sections on it. See pictures, any ideas as to how or why that happened and any fixes. Battery is only 1 year old.

i bet your display is going bad, i think a new or reman cluster is about $400
