2011 YukonCenter console USB port power is intermittent, causing dash cam to go off and on.

When plugging dash cam into this usb port for power, the cam goes off and on intermittently. I thought that USB was continuous power when ignition is on.

there are a gazillion 12v to usb adapters on ebay/amazon so you can wire it up properly, all kinds: micro usb, mini usb, usb-c, angled tips, so on so forth

The cig lighter is powered even when off! Could be the electronics in the USB port, or the connection to it..

I've found the USB receptacles on these trucks to be sloppy, fit-wise. If I go over a bump or hit a pothole of any size, my wired Android Auto wire becomes disconnected, and I have to jiggle the USB plug to get it to connect again. It is a PIA.
