Hey guys just joined up, I picked up a tahoe this weekend and I usually pull all my information from forums so i figured i do a Hello post.

I bought a 2008 tahoe Ls, It has some PPV/SSV options but Vin-s out as a regular Ls. It was apparently a park ranger car or so. White, 4x4, silver steelies, Tow package, Rubber flooring, Fabric seats with convertible center-console/Seat, Fresh tires, PDC, Electric seats/pedals, and 82k miles.

Overall Very happy with the car, Made it 750 miles home with only a few minor hiccups. It has the following problems:
  1. Cracking dash, these are small now and im considering drilling them at the root to stop their growth this would allow the expansion the dash apparently needs
  2. Center console power/Aux doesn't work, im hoping this is just the dealer being lazy and not connecting them
  3. Passenger heat/Ac doesn't blow well
  4. Blower motor makes noise
  5. Driver door speaker doesn't work, a-pillar tweeter does.
  6. Cruise doesn't work, hoping its the brake switch
  7. Car wouldnt start on the way home, its a small non factory battery and it was like 0 degrees out
  8. I was towing a car home and it threw a bank deviation code. 1174. It went away after another 500 miles so idk. Maybe the cold again
Other than that guys what should i be looking out for? water pump issues? basic preventative maintnence i should be paying attention to?

It has the a8l or whatever code in the glove box, I really want to do remote start, is that just a reprogramming and a key fob? are there any DIY Programing softwares around?

Some random pictures from the trip :)
