2007 Yukon Extended Start

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon and about 3-4 times a day it acts like it don't want to start. I throw an engine light evap detect leak. I have changed the vent valve and hoses and the purge solenoid. The fuel pump isn't very old either. Some days when you go to start it wont start on 1st try turn key off turn back on starts up just fine. When changing the purge valve out again today (one on the engine) I notice the white clip just fell out. Could there be a oring in the connector on that side? Any help would greatful!

What kind of fuel pump did you use?

EVAP code is just epa crap, that wouldn't affect starting, get a fuel pressure tester (there cheap) and start testing fuel pressure when this occurs

Try this for a day or two: Instead of trying to start it, first turn the key on, engine off, for a few seconds. Key back off. (could do it twice for good measure). Now start it. If you do this for a day or two and it fires right up every time, I'm pointing at the pump.

Did the OP replace just the pump or the whole assembly with the Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Delphi fuel pump is what was used from autozone
