They have factory tunes in the hptuners repository, just an fyi if you didn't know.... Not trying to sound like a Di**. I just read what I replied. How close are you to firing up that beast? Do you have access to a dyno?

Has nothing to do with getting a factory tune. When you replace the TECM it needs a VIN programmed at a Dealer or someone with a very expensive scan tool... From my understanding HP Tuners is not capable.

Still working on the tune as we speak but it runs and drives GREAT!!! This thing handles amazing from my initial tests and the brakes are way way better than before. I will get a video of driving and other run activities soon but need to get the tune nailed in first, I was busy looking at HP Tuners data while driving to record at the same time. Had issues with MAP wiring at first so took a few tries to get started, also had a dead battery.... Oh well, it runs!!!

1st Start

2nd Start

3rd Start - Actually running decent lol

Exhaust Clip

I am doing a more complex tune vs just using MAF only so it will take a day or two to get correct. Still drives great... No leaks except an O Ring on the intercooler lid and EVERYTHING was touched on this truck during this build. Amazing how it finally came together. Will get more pics and videos up soon...

Got my new grill in... Still need to install lower part and remove and paint bug shield. Might just buy a new one.

Intercooler Pump Installed... Bosch unit with a cheap $10 fuel pump clamp. Turned out nice, still enough room above it for an ice box or reservoir

Love that color, love the look, id black all that chrome out imo.

Sent from iPhone 7 plus using Tapatalk Pro

Lower grill I have to match in black just needs to be installed. Bug shield is coming off to get painted or just replace with a black one. Top strip above black grill will be painted to match and I have the original body color mirror covers from the first owner. He added all the chrome lol... Even bought a Tahoe rear bumper step in all black to replace the cracked chrome one. Most everything else will be removed or blacked out. I have some custom "Supercharged LSA" fender emblems coming soon too

Looking good. Love that exhaust sound! What was all the smoke from?
Thanks... New headers and maybe some oil/coolant at the end. No other fluid or exhaust leaks and no more smoking. That was literally the first start.

Thanks a lot. Lots of work for sure... I think it sounds beyond amazing and it really surprised me, I absolutely love it... It's Magnaflow #12909 with Kooks 1 7/8" headers and the Kooks Y Pipes. I've been slacking on getting some new video up. I will certainly do another video or two launching and some power pulls. I've been cruising all week/weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise. Some amazing cars out here right now. I got a good baseline for how fast my truck is finally. I was able to destroy a C6 427 Corvette from a roll, took out a Camaro SS 1/LE, SRT10 Truck and a few others I can't even remember lol. There was a 300C SRT at the end of the night that I was able to run from a red light. He said his runs a 12.7qtr. I was able to beat him off the line to 65mph and then again from a 30mph roll I was pulling on him. I'm pretty impressed with the performance and I'm just getting starting. Looking in to an Interchiller system (ties into A/C for IAT cooling). That should give me super low IAT temps, enough for 75-100hp across the board... Stay tuned!

Don't forget to vote for Truck of the Month August, I could really use a new set of headlights lol ;)

Cool, thanks for the part #.
I bet you do, heck I love it and I've never even seen it run hahaha.
I'd love to see the faces of everyone you walk away from. They must be beyond surprised.
Wow, that much of an increase with one mod? That's impressive for sure.
Lookin forward to your updates, especially the vids.

I'll put a vote in. You get new headlight if you win? What kind of headlight, retros or oe replacements?

The faces I see are priceless indeed lol. I even had a 918 Hybrid Spyder next to me. Was white with racing stickers all over it. We did a quick 0-30 pull and I was bumper to bumper him, even a fender ahead according to my friend. Not sure if he was full throttle but he yelled out the window "Don't embarrass me now lol"...

Headlights are from a Sponsor and they are new housings with HID retro... I have a crack in one of mine so I need new ones anyways but don't have the money right now.

Here are a few videos... I will get some better ones from outside the truck and some new ones now that I re-flashed my transmission to get rid of most of the torque management. I freaking hate HP Tuners. I've removed the speed limiter twice and the torque management and somehow HP Tuners decides what it wants to flash whenever it wants. Frustrating to say the least. It is a lot faster now with the revised tune, will upload newer videos when I can.

Yeah it definitely looks like you still have some work to do. I'm surprised it's not quicker. Good work so far though.

Surprised it's not quicker? As it was, I was already faster than a C6 427 Corvette off the line and from a roll. Raced a modded WRX STI Wagon and spanked it to 85 and just ran a baseline with my buddies 88 LX 5.0 Mustang (consistent 12.6 qtr car). My truck was faster than all of these WITH full torque management active. After removing the TQ Management, it feels like it has an extra 50 - 75hp. This is all on a stock VVT cam and stock LSA pulley (6.8psi). I checked out your videos, mine seems to pull a lot harder even with the old tune which has been resolved. Not sure if you were trying to be a dick or not, but you did a good job of it ;)

I don't think I posted pics of new upper grill with lower installed. Also removed chrome mirror covers and installed body color ones. Chrome trim on hood also blacked out and chrome bug deflector removed and blacked out. Might reinstall deflector because they chipped the paint on the hood with the mounting clips.
