Do the tow mirrors that are on it power fold or are they manual?

They power adjust and are heated but manually fold. Guys sending me the original mirrors. To be honest I’ll probably put those back on. The tow mirrors are huge.

What’s Normal trans temp on the highway? Today on about a 30 min drive the trans temp got to 205. Was doing 60 - 70 mph. It was 94 degrees out so that must have affected it to. Was just wondering what normal operating temps are.

Why’s mine running so high then?

Trans fluid is good - pink with no burnt smell.

Mine runs much cooler too. However, Tom and I have 6-speed transmissions on the 1500 chassis and we have electric fans, not an engine driven clutch fan.

There are a couple of guys on here with 2007 2500s, anyone remember names offhand so we can call them in?

Does it have an external trans cooler (in front of radiator)?

Good point. I think the 2007 2500's have a different tranny?

Are these numbers correct....?
I know the 2001-2006 w/8.1L were rated up to 14k....and the limiting factor on the 2007-2013 was the hitch rating..... plus no more big block after ‘06....

The max towing was 12,000 lbs with the 8.1..... I know I had one -see my avatar. 2500 AV...

Loved it. The 4speed trans was the issue.....

What your opinion on the tow mirrors?

I’ll get the original mirrors in a few days. Was thinking about putting them back on.
