Budget was a concern. Although I wanted to do a custom Double DIN kit to have the DVD/NAV as close to the factory position as possible, I decided to go with the Metra kit and save $100+.

Another thing I was contemplating was getting Alpine monitors and have it installed in the factory headrests. Instead I went with Vizualogic headrest replacements and the color is close enough. I also opted to go with the monitors without individual DVD players as I'm looking to add an overhead monitor in the future.

did you have a factory nav

No. I got a great deal on the car without factory nav/dvd/back up cam/res. This is why I went this route. I suppose I could've gotten factory nav off eBay or forum member either here or the cadillac forum but really liked the idea of customizing the car the way I wanted it.

Performs awesome. Thanks. Now looking into a Viper 5902 system to protect myself (in addition to insurance). Because some dumb ass GM exec thought a steering wheel column lock wasn't necessary on the GMT900 hence becoming the number 1 stolen vehicle. (7 out of the top 10 stolen vehicles are of the GMT900 platform)

BTW, your Tahoe looks clean and sick.

Do you think that camera will work on stock navigation? I noticed through our 2 Escalades that their rearview cameras are fuzzy. Hate it. Plus I like that grid feature, does it curve when you turn the wheel?

Yes, the camera will work with stock navigation with and without lockpick. Without a lockpick, I think you have to tap into the camera module within the passenger side kick panel. I believe it was this forum in which someone did that using a Kenwood Camera.

The Grid feature is awesome. This is my first TRUE SUV (my wife has a RAV4 - so it doesn't count ) or large vehicle for that matter and it helps me tremendously. Also the "birds eye view" feature is cool when hooking up a trailer. I don't believe it curves when you turn the wheel.
