Seems like every time I turn around some fancy function in this old but fancy truck is different. Seat, mirrors, etc. It used to be that when I backed up there were no chimes or warning lights in the back (seen in rearview mirror) but as you neared an object there were 3 successive lights. Very useful in getting close to car behind you. Now, out of the blue, as soon as I start backing up the chimes and all 3 lights come on - worthless as a proximity warning. Why does this crap change and how do I change it back? It doesn't seem to be in the Vehicle Settings.

Keep in mind you have a 15-year-old truck. It is damned reliable, but it is still 15 years old. It is likely one or more sensors have gone bad. Check them out.
