I'm going to be doing intake manifold gaskets, knock sensores, valley pan gasket etc on my son's '05 Tahoe next week. While in there, I would like to replace the coolant pipe gaskets. I was gonna use Felpro part ES73027. But talking to someone who did this on an '05 Denali, he used Dorman part 56390. But, I don't see that Dorman part 56390 is for an '05 Tahoe which I find odd seing as how they make it for many other '05 LS based engines. Can anyone confirm Dorman part 56390 will actually work? I ask because its much easier to get a hold of this part, than it is the Fel Pro part, at least near me.

Is the '05 Denali a 6.0 liter or 5.3? I'm assuming the Tahoe is a 5.3. I assume there is a difference, but have not done this task yet, so I don't know for sure.

I think its actually a 6.0. But, I still find that odd seeing as how most parts from 4.8 to 6.0 are interchangeable. Especially these simple coolant gaskets

The pics of each look the same but I don't see a 6.0 engine available for a 2005 Tahoe. I see 4.8 and 5.3 but not a 6.0. IMO, I would want to know for sure what engine I am working on instead of "I think it's actually 6.0". They do look interchangeable as far as the parts go but knowing correct engine size is important.

Those are the ones I used. But then, mine is a ‘03, 5.3.. I can’t imagine these would be different for an ‘05, whether it’s a 5.3, or a 6.0. And for the cost of the part..? I’d definitely just get them.

I think you misunderstood me. I KNOW 6.0 wasn't an option on '05 Tahoe/ Yukon. The 6.0 comment was by the parts guy I spoke to. He has an '05 Escalade that he did this reapir to. He mentioned he used the Dorman seals and they worked for his 6.0. My question was...I don't see these Dorman seals specifically call out that they will work for an '05 Tahoe 5.3. I'm well aware what engine I have in my Tahoe

Sorry to misunderstand but the way your post was worded made it sound like you THOUGHT it could be a 6.0 engine and not that the comment I was referring to was about another vehicle altogether.

I think that is my fault. I referenced the 6.0. My bad.
