new plate must be a curse, I swear I haven’t had REP in 5-6months. Had to pull over several times today in just 10 miles, simply clearing the codes wouldn’t work. Maybe I’ll convert to a cable TB, I freaking hate REP and have replaced everything.
Have you replaced the pigtail to the tb? How's the ground on the ds under the running board?

I have not replaced the pigtail but it looks great and I fear even well soldered splices could be worse that it is currently. The grounds all look great.

From what I’ve read lots of people running an X link have these problem intermittently. Theres a new method of using a bigger DBW TB someone wrote up over on PT.net, I might try that before I go cable or sell it.

The pigtail can look good from the outside, but it's known to suffer from small breaks in the copper wiring--meanwhile it looks good from the outside (insulation looks good). Something to consider.

I suppose that’s possible, today it did it to me at idle trying to leave my shoot range/cow pasture. I had to not just clear the code that would be to easy. I had to unplug the Xlink on both ends then turn to accessory, clear the code, then start the truck. And then of course it let me drive 10 miles and absolutely romp it with some drifts and hard 1-2 pulls

Went on a 1k mile road trip to help a buddy cam his Tahoe. 298k mile 5.3 with a truck Norris cam sounds fantastic! Sounds way choppier than my bigger cam, and seemed to have good power everywhere. Makes me want to recam this and add the Magnusson.

Anyway truck did great other than REP a few times and my AFR gauge possibly dying. I say possibly because it started readying 8-9afr at highway cruise. Seems preposterous but I almost feel like the truck was running weird when the gauge would do that. No way the truck slipped into a mega rich mode right? Never got more than 13.5mpg holding 70 the whole time ether.

I ordered the stuff to potentially fix my REP problem with a 99-02 throttle control module and 6pin-8pin harness. If that works, I’ll be planning to put the forged 370 I’ve had on the shelf for 5 years into this little sloot. Shoulder chop good, fix my oil pressure problem, and be a great candidate for my Magnusson.

Completed the supposed REP fix which deleted the X link and uses OEM parts. So far it seems to work, the test trip was a run to the liquor store in a severe thunderstorm. Worked great! Truck even seemed to run smoother but maybe that was the 40oz I slammed in the parking lot before leaving the store. Anyway, gonna drive this truck mostly for the next few weeks to see if it’s truly cured. Very hopefully
