This band saw gets it! Got the rest of the cuts I need cut and mocked up. As well as finally cutting the hole that the CAI box draws from. Don’t really think it will make a lick of difference but I had the grinder out and why not.

Gonna try to remove the painters tape while marking each individual piece in order and in orient so they can be reassembled with tack welds one at a time. Also ordered a straight 4”ID-4”ID silicon coupler to mate the TB and tube together as well as a 4.25”-4” coupler for the tube to meet the filterneck. I need to dig into my stash and find the IAT sensor I ordered long ago so I can relocate that and delete the MAF.

So far is have about $110 in material. I’m gonna keep track of the amount of time and filler rod it takes to weld it so I can estimate the cost.

Oh, that's purty! Nice work as always

Being as that pipe is already polished, just hit it with some polish compound and done

Couldn't you leave the tape in place and just cut out a small piece for each tack? Or is that not do-able when welding?
I was told it will heat up so much that it will melt in a very large area, especially after multiple tack welds which this will require around 130. I do have some heat resistant Kaplan tape I’m gonna try after I finish baking cookies.

Oh no. Sparklies?
Diamond dust is the name of the glittery glam glam I usually do. So in short yes, it will be sparklies if I don’t like the polished look.
you could save yourself a ton of pie cuts if you buy pre made SS fittings like this one. They do 4”.
But where’s the fun in that? This is just a “can I do it?” Sort of project.

Got all the scotch tape off it and the Kapton tape on, as well as marking each piece. I guess the markings aren’t as necessary as I thought because the tape should withstand 700*F.
