Finally had a chance to get back to working on truck.
Had a minor incident and had to rework the lower quarter so decided to some more fine details to the build

How hard was it to swap front driver fender? And how hard was it to cut and weld the drivers rear quarter panel?

Swaping fenders is fairly easy. the rear lower quarter is a much different story. first you need to go around and drill out which will leave holes in metal you will need to weld or glue to or, you need a special sander and sand the spot welds down. Sanding the factory spot welds it much better route in my opinion. then you need to cut the panel off the truck i cut it obviously low and aligned panel and account for the dimple to that runs like an air hammer and cut again. Then you need to "Dimple" or roll the quarter so the new panel can have something to bite to and be flush with the remaining original quarter. im sure you could get away with out that tool but the required metal work will be long and tedaious to get it close to where you are not building the side of the truck of with bondo to hide the seam. Hope this makes sense. Its hard if you havent done it or dont have some one that knows how to do it to help. With that said this was my first attempt at it in my single bay garage that is small enough i cant fully open either the drivers or passengers doors in the garage. I should also note i did not weld other than a few tack welds i used SEM Panel Bond and glued them on
Found a link to a cheap version of the tool i was referring to.

thanks for that tip. Im looking to replace a damaged area around my taillight. I was planning on cutting it out with an air grinder, and then welding in the new piece of new sheetmetal/new portion of quarter panel in that area from behind. Shops want 2k to repair and paint it, which seems like to much to me. they want to cut the whole panel skin off and put a new one on, all the way up to the door seems.

Got a few more hours in this weekend. Pulled glass from hatch and repaired the hinge, I did spray the glue black but didn't take a pic. Removed all the corrosion from the gate and underside of the hood and for them both jammed and temporarily reinstalled.

Then took the family up to camp for the afternoon and Sunday

Little more progress...
