Hello there, Im new here and need help with my 2003 Tahoe.
Recently my AC blower motor been staying ON even after truck is shut OFF. Slowly and surely it shuts down but is having issues turning back ON to full power.
I figured it be the blower motor but I removed it and works strangely. Like it takes a while for the signal to reach it to turn ON or even raise/lower the force.
I'm not sure if the resistor is the issue since my control module is digital.
Any help or tips/advice is greatly appreciated.

if you put your own power to the fan and it acted odd, then thats the fan, but if you used the trucks power aka left it plugged in thats likely the resistor.

ive got a 05 and auto BS climate control my fan just stays on key off, killed the battery over night. that act seems to lead right to the resistor being bad.

in the non digital CC trucks if fan speed 5 quits, thats the resistor too. went through a few of them in my 03 sierra 2500 hd truck. and one of the work trucks, a 05 silverado fan speed 5 has been dead for years now. at least it dont stay on.

the resistor i ordered. comes tomorrow ill post back as to how it went as its a 20 dollar part. but a delco lists for 100. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8JSHPV9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Yes, I used the trucks power to check it. I'll try the resistor by replacing it, hopefully that solves the issue.

that new resistor came late sunday, so it went in after work today, (20 minute job pretty much) so far its working as it should.
new part comes with a new harness and they want you to cut the plug off the truck side harness (no directions with new part) and splice the new wires from the new parts harness to the trucks harness. i found a vid where the guy unpinned the truck side harness plug. then unpinned the pinned wires out of the new parts harness and repin the truck side into the parts side plug. worked perfectly, and no cutting or crimping or soldering. clean install.
