2002 tahoe HU *thinking DD*

ive been thinking of doing the dual din route. i currently have a Valor 720W in the truck now. its a fold out and its been good to me but i have a D3 from my old car that i want to toss in the truck...
i know id have to buy a bezel and the cage... but i've also been reading that it'll block my power outlets and ash trey... is there any way around that? or could i mod my current bezel to get a DD to fit? my guys at a car audio shop i deal with said they can get it in there with out me buying a bezel or cage... so i guess they'd be chopping something up??LOL

In a 2000-2002 its a PITA, but its possible to have a DD

fairly simple but i dont have tools like that nor do i have any extra mdf anymore.
i know i can get access to a few things but i know i cant do it like JK did
maybe if one of you guys on the forum dont mind doing the bracket...i'm willing to pay for it ofcourse.
