2001 yukon installed new (used) instrument cluster

There is no temp gauge response, no fuel, and the message center stays on with key out runs batter down.
Changed the temp sensor, and checked power to it and to cluster, both are fine but still no temp gauge.
Any advice is appreciated.

sounds like the replacement cluster is no good or needs work
