7/21/18 remember how I said a good friend of mine tuned the Tahoe with efi live? Well it came in handy yet again. Had him turn my e fans on in the pcm and swapped out the clutch fan for factory e fans out of a 05 Denali. Along with all the factory wiring from it as well. This is one of my favorite mods it made such a big difference. It cleans up the engine bay, give you more room to work, looks better, improves mileage, and keeps it running cooler.

Also at this point I’m still waiting on my enclosure to be finished. I was being lazy and didn’t want to build it. Had a well known builder do it. Long story short ordered it in April, it’s now early august , and I’m getting upset. Before I had the chance to use the ns1 I found a absolutely amazing deal on a pair of dc 5k amplifiers. So sold the ns1 as fast as I could.

So as of 8/6/18 I’m about to have a loud dining room :flipthebird:

8/7/18. At this point I’m waiting on an enclosure that I should have just built myself. But I’m not giving up even with the big show in a couple weeks. Made a quick rack for the second amp above the battery bank and the other one under the seat. Got the wire and extra fuses ran as well. Now I’m just waiting for the enclosure everything else is ready to go.

8/19/18. Getting to be a week away from surf and I’m scrambling to get shit done and fully ready. Ended up having the rca outputs of my head unit take a shit and took me a couple days after work to track that down. Voltage issues were also fighting me. Added a couple more grounds out back which was needed either way. Ended up being loose fuse holders where most my problems were coming from. My local friend had a spl meter. Was expecting like a 152-153ish but right out of the gate it did a 154.2. So I’m stoked. Also got my first hair trick out of the new setup it’s moving some air now :peace:

Also while trying to tighten some
Lugs i ****** up and arched the battery with my ratchet. That was a fun fireworks show. Accidents happen unfortunately when you’re rushing. Nothing bad happened just scared the shit out of me.

Also put it on the scale on my way home. 6400 lbs it’s the heaviest it’s ever been. Thanks to 5 78lb batteries and 6 45lb subs.

9/14/18 finally made the switch to lithium that I should have done long before. 1 55lb 100ah limitless lithium to replace 390lb of agms. Not only weight savings but now I also don’t drop below low 13v range where I was able to get to low 11’s with the agms.

Import chicks show was a success. Took home two first place trophies there. Then on 9/26/18 I tried playing a little to low of frequency and ripped one of the subs apart from Over excursion. Luckily with some CA glue it was repaired and played fine.

10/10/18 I ordered some tech flex flexo PET wire wrap to try it out. Wrapped my external bass knob wiring first. Might have something here....

most of November of 18 my bosses 69 step side c10 took the Tahoe’s spot in the garage. He wanted some better sound out of it so I put a powered 10 hidden under the seat. And did a couple other things. Turned out really well and sounds good.

After his truck went back to him I finally got tired of looking at my rushed thrown together build on the Tahoe. So I decided to rip everything out and do it right.

11/25/18. Started tearing everything out. Took my time until about 1/1/19 to finish everything the way I wanted.

Subs out and placed inside

First thing was finishing the enclosure that should have been finished. Clear resin for the inside and true black stain with some gloss black right after.

I said awhile back how all the stickers were irritating me so I stripped them.

Still is my audio comp rig so as a good buddy of mine always told me “support those who support you” ordered everything in matte black so it wouldn’t stick out as much plus it looks really good in the light. Also parts started coming in

Was tired of having an amp under the seat so I finally remade the amp/battery rack so that everything fit behind the back seat.

Took advantage of Black Friday and upgraded subs from the dc audio level 4’s to dc audio xl’s. Picture below is level 4 on the right and the new xl on the left.

1/12/19 since the rebuild was finished I took a weekend to give the daily driver a little attention. Cheap car but I couldn’t stand leaving it stock. Found some Integra Gsr blades and coil over sleeves. Much better

1/19/19 time for a oil change. My buddy manages a oil can Henry’s and I used to work there years ago. I never had a problem stopping in and getting a oil change if needed because of time crunch or if I was feeling lazy. Well they made a switchover to Valvoline and apparently the new policy was to get oil filters tight then crank them another 3/4 turn. So I got to deal with this fun for hours. That was the last time the oil was changed by someone other than myself.

2/18/19 got rid of those trailblazer plates for some better matching pacific wonderlands.

Decided I was gonna make a trip to Reno for the sky high bbq event on April. Found a cheap roof rack for hauling luggage and what not down there. Made sure to add a little touch to the front fairing before it went on though.
