2001 tahoe factory amp question

I plan on putting in a full sound system soon but until then would it be possible for me to replace the factory amp with a new amp to power a sub or would i have to replace the head unit also?

Thats what i plan on doing but my aftermarket head unit crapped out on me so i just wanted to know if i could replace just the amp until my gead unit comes back from getting fixed

yess you can add an aftermarket amp just run your power cable ground and remote.
your rcas can be used with this

you hook this up to one of your factory speakers and run the rcas from there.
