I have a 2000 Yukon, 235,*** miles on it. The steering works, fluid is full but it feels loose. What I mean is when I'm turning the truck will turn just fine but it doesn't feel as tight as a newer vehicle. I've never messed with the steering box - I have replaeced the intermediate shaft - and the TRE's look to be in good shape. Could the steering box just be wearing out? I know nothing about how they work but I'd love to have that tight feeling back in the steering. The fluid looks like it needs changning but I'm not sure how to do that, google might be able to help.

Thanks for any input, much appreciated.

Power steering works to well on these in my opinion. No feel of the road what so ever. Although yours has 170k more miles than mine.
