2" OR 3" rear spacers

i was going to buy the 2" spacers, but i read that the 2" might only lift it about 1.25", so does this mean i need the 3" spacers to get around 2"? also do i need any kind of shock extender or other things along with these spacers?

I don't understand how 2" will only give you 1.25". You will get 2" from 2" and 3" from 3" I have 1.5's on my truck and I like them. I have cranked ford keys and the front still sits about 1-2" lower than the rear but it looks pretty level.

As for shocks, it's wise to buy some new ones since you're going higher. I have yet to do this though lol. Most on the z71tahoe forum recommend the bilstein 5100's. The correct part #'s can be found there with a simple search. It'll cost about $300-$400 for all four shocks.

On my Yukon I could not use anything higher than a 1.5" spacer with 35 x 12.5 tires. If I went higher it moved the axle towards the drivers side and rubbed on the rear suspension.

My rear went up 2"s with my 2" spacers. people have run 3" spacers but its kinda pushin it. Max i would go it 2"

Thanks so much guys, its just that i was lookin at the 2" spacers on ebay, and it said for every 2" you only get about 1.25" of lift, i guess they dont know what theyre talking about , ill go ahead and get the 2's, i need new shocks bad, wioth the 2" keys up front and cranked torsion bars the front shocks are very rough, but im waiting to get new shocks until i get my 3" body kift too, to get the correct shock height size, im gonna get the bilstein 5100's when i get the 3" kit, i was going to run 35's, but after aquionsteve showed me that white z71 with 37's im very tempted lol, but im curious, how can they fit a larger tire on a stock rim, compared to my aftermarket 16x8's, arent the stocks 16x7.5 or 16x8 as well? could i fit a 37" on mine or just stockers?.....also i dont think these sizes are legit, i have 265/75/16 right now and they said they are 32.5", i measured them theyre barely over 31"....so are 37's really like 36"? man i have lots of questions, sorry guys you prob hate me ...but i did take pics, maybe that will make up for all my lip flappin' heh

The stock rims really help you fit the bigger tires. 35s are pushin it with stock rims. Stick with the 33s and youll be happy. BTW no pics of the truck yet?

Right after i posted that last night i tried uploading my pics 3 times!!! and everytime it said there were security errors..i emailed the site administrator and explained what happened, ill try again when i get home from work GRRRRRR, aquino, im doin the keys/spacers/3" BL, and going to try and fit maybe 315/75/16, if not ill do 305/75, BTW i dont want to give up my american racing 16x8 just to fit 1" larger tire on stock rims, heh, aint worth it that much to me

youll fit the 315s fine. People run them with just 3"BLs. You got another 2"s of room under there with you keys and spacers.

Ok I got 33x 12.50 on 15x10 rims mud kings.. is a 3 inch body enough lift? I get confussed when every is saying 33's but they are really talking about 305-75 or some stuff like that.. on stock rims these are off my old 96 z71 thanks

I was under the impression that us with 2000 and newer (this is the 2000-2006 section) can't run 15" wheels over our front brakes.

as far as tire sizes


265/70-17 = 30.6" tall
285/75-16 = 33x12.50-16 = 32.7" tall
285/70-17 = 33x12.50-17 = 32.8" tall
315-75-16 = 34.6" tall
305/75-16 = 34.0"tall

I have the standard superlift Keys, and 1.5 inch spacers in the rear. I also run "airlift" airbags inside the springs, those give extra lift in the rear to level everything out while loaded.... hell even unloaded 10 Psi in there makes the ride effin sweet and the whole kit was only 70 bucks and only took an hour to install.

I have put my Yukon thru the toughest terrain the Australian outback has to offer running this exact setup. If its tough enough for here, its tough enough for anywhere guaranteed.

I used random billet aluminum spacers off Ebay too btw, no issues.

Yeah I've seen this on here too. but I measured the inside clearence of the 15 and the stock 16 and the 15 is actully bigger... but I'm going to post it when I have time to actully try to mount them on there. I hear you can if you grind the caliber down some but I might end up haveing to sell them there still on the old truck i prob just sell the thing after i fix it if thats the case I want to see what all or anything can be salvaged off the old beast for it finds its way to old 4x4 retirement home
